In season 10 episode 12 of The Simpsons, titled "Sunday, Cruddy Sunday," the town of Springfield is abuzz with excitement as Super Bowl fever has taken hold. Unfortunately for the residents, the game is being held in a neighboring town and tickets are nearly impossible to come by. Desperate for a chance to attend the game, Homer devises a plan to charter a bus and take a group of locals to the stadium.
Joining Homer on the journey are a motley crew of Springfield citizens, including Apu, Moe, Flanders, and a pair of secret service agents who happen to be in town protecting a celebrity guest. As they make their way to the stadium, the group encounters a number of challenges and obstacles, from getting lost on the highway to dealing with rowdy fans.
Along the way, tensions begin to rise as Homer's impulsive decision-making puts everyone's safety at risk. To make matters worse, the celebrity guest they are driving is revealed to be notoriously difficult to work with, causing even more chaos on the bus.
As the group approaches the stadium, they must overcome even more challenges in order to reach their seats before kickoff. By the time they do, however, the game has already started, leaving them to watch from the sidelines as their favorite team takes the field.
Despite the setbacks, the group manages to have a fun and memorable trip, with some unexpected surprises in store. "Sunday, Cruddy Sunday" is a hilarious and action-packed episode that showcases the best of The Simpsons' trademark humor and wit.
