Cassie's nightmares about her past continue to haunt her, but this time they involve the haunting image of a young woman burning at the stake. Meanwhile, Faye and Melissa throw a party to celebrate their powers and provoke a confrontation with Dawn, who is trying to keep the circle under control. The party quickly spirals out of control when Melissa, fueled by alcohol and jealousy, accidentally sets her boyfriend Nick on fire. In order to keep Nick alive, the circle must come together to perform a complicated spell, but the stakes are high and the consequences of failure are dire. Meanwhile, Adam and Diana struggle with their feelings for each other, and Cassie receives a disturbing message from Blackwell, her father. As the circle becomes more powerful, it becomes clear that they are not the only witches in town, and someone else is watching their every move.
