Scooby's Chinese Fortune Kooky Caper is the 12th episode of the third season of The Scooby-Doo Show. The episode starts with the gang taking a stroll on the streets, where they come across a Chinese restaurant. The restaurant is owned by Mr. Fong, who invites the gang inside for a meal.
Inside, they meet Mr. Fong's daughter, Lee Chan, who tells them about a stolen Chinese vase, which is believed to bring good fortune to its owner. The vase was stolen from the temple by a thief who wore a mask and used smoke bombs to make his escape.
The gang decides to help Lee Chan and her father find the vase and catch the thief. They start their investigation by visiting the temple, where they find a clue in the form of a Chinese character written on the ground. The character means "thief," and it becomes clear that the thief left it behind as a warning.
The gang then decides to investigate the pawn shop, where they believe the thief might have sold the vase. They find a man who matches the thief's description, but he denies being involved and claims that he sold a vase to a private collector.
The gang then decides to attend a Chinese auction, where Lee Chan believes the vase might be sold. They arrive in disguise and try to bid on the vase, but they are outbid by a mysterious woman who wears a mask and a wig.
The gang follows the woman to a warehouse, where she reveals herself as Lee Chan's cousin, Mei Ling. She claims that she stole the vase to protect it from a group of criminals who are after it. Mei Ling reveals that the vase contains a valuable map that leads to a treasure that her ancestors left behind.
The gang then teams up with Mei Ling to find the treasure, but they are pursued by the criminals who want the map for themselves. The chase leads them to a deserted island, where they find the treasure and catch the criminals.
In the end, Mei Ling donates the treasure to the museum, and Mr. Fong is able to recover the vase, which brings good fortune to his restaurant. The gang bids farewell to Lee Chan and Mei Ling and continues their journey to solve more mysteries.
