Scooby-Doo, Where's the Crew? is the thirteenth episode of the first season of the classic Hanna-Barbera animated series, The Scooby-Doo Show. The episode follows the Mystery Inc. gang as they travel to an old historical town to participate in a reenactment of a famous Civil War battle.
Upon arriving in town, the gang learns that the crew responsible for setting up the reenactment is missing. The town sheriff informs them that the crew had gone to the battlefield early that morning and hadn't returned since. The sheriff asks the gang for their help in finding the missing crew, and the gang agrees.
As the gang splits up to search for clues, they hear strange noises coming from the battlefield. Shaggy and Scooby-Doo investigate the sounds and stumble upon a hidden cave. Inside the cave, they find the missing crew tied up and unconscious.
The gang quickly unties the crew and asks them what happened. The crew tells the gang that they were attacked by someone wearing a Civil War-era uniform who had come out of nowhere. They explain that they were hit with a strange gas that knocked them out, and when they woke up, they were tied up in the cave.
The gang begins to investigate the cave and finds a secret laboratory hidden behind a false wall. Inside the lab, they find a machine that appears to have been used to create the gas that knocked out the crew. The gang also finds a piece of paper with the name of a nearby chemical plant written on it.
The gang decides to investigate the chemical plant and finds that it has been abandoned for years. However, they find evidence that someone has been using the plant recently. They also find a map of the town with several locations crossed out. The only location left uncrossed is the town museum.
The gang goes to the museum and finds it closed, even though it's supposed to be open. They break in and find a secret room in the back that is full of Civil War memorabilia. They also find a man dressed in a Civil War uniform who appears to be the same man who attacked the crew and knocked them out.
The man chases the gang through the museum, but they eventually trap him in a display case. They unmask him and find out that he is the curator of the museum. He explains that he had been using the chemical plant to create a gas that would knock out the crew so he could steal the reenactment supplies and sell them on the black market.
The gang turns the curator over to the sheriff, who arrests him and thanks the gang for solving the case. The episode ends with the gang driving away in the Mystery Machine, ready for their next adventure.
