On the Morning of the Duel Will Oscar...? is the twelfth episode of the first season of the anime series The Rose of Versailles. In this episode, Oscar is struggling with her emotions as she prepares for a duel with André. She is conflicted between her love for André and her duty as a member of the royal guard. Oscar spends the morning reflecting on her past, particularly her time spent as a student at a military academy.

Meanwhile, tensions are mounting in the palace as the courtiers gossip about the upcoming duel. Many believe that Oscar is too emotional and that André is at a disadvantage because of his love for her. The Countess de Polignac tries to calm the gossip, but her efforts are in vain.

As the morning wears on, Oscar receives an unexpected visitor: Marie Antoinette. The queen has come to offer her support to Oscar and to try to convince her to call off the duel. Oscar is touched by the queen's concern, but insists that she must go through with it. Marie Antoinette leaves, but not before giving Oscar a rose as a symbol of her admiration.

The duel itself is tense and emotional. André struggles to keep his feelings in check as he faces off against Oscar. The two fight fiercely, but it becomes clear that Oscar has the upper hand. Just as the duel seems to be reaching its climax, however, Oscar suddenly collapses. André rushes to her side, and it is revealed that she had been injured in a previous battle and had not fully recovered.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Oscar is rushed to the hospital. The courtiers are left to speculate on the outcome of the duel and Oscar's fate. Will she recover from her injuries? Will André confess his love for her? Viewers will have to tune in to future episodes to find out.
