Rockford begins to suspect that the boy may have been involved with a group of delinquent teenagers who call themselves "The Gang." He manages to infiltrate the group, posing as a tough-talking ex-con who is looking to make a quick buck. His ruse seems to work, and he soon becomes a trusted member of the gang.

As Rockford spends more time with the group, he begins to uncover their dark secrets.
