In season 2 episode 8 of The Rockford Files, titled "Resurrection in Black & White", James Rockford (played by James Garner) finds himself caught up in a case that hits close to home. When Rockford's ex-girlfriend Megan (played by Kathryn Harrold) asks for his help in locating her missing husband, Rockford agrees to take the case. However, as he begins to dig deeper into the investigation, he soon discovers that Megan's husband may be involved in some shady dealings.
The episode takes place in Los Angeles, where Rockford works as a private investigator. As Rockford delves deeper into the case, he finds himself up against some dangerous individuals. He is threatened and attacked by two hoodlums who warn him to back off the case. He also has a run-in with one of the corrupt executives, who tries to intimidate him into dropping the investigation.
Despite the danger, Rockford refuses to give up on the case. He continues to follow the clues he has and eventually discovers the truth behind Megan's husband's disappearance. However, as he attempts to bring the corrupt executives to justice, he is faced with an unexpected twist that puts his own life in danger.
"Resurrection in Black & White" is a thrilling episode that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. The fast-paced plot and well-developed characters make for an entertaining hour of television. James Garner delivers another outstanding performance as James Rockford, and Kathryn Harrold does an excellent job as Megan.
