Ep 2. The Slave Girl

Naofumi is on a mission to train and become stronger in order to protect the kingdom from the impending wave of destruction. As he is about to set out on his journey, a slave trader approaches him and offers to sell him a slave girl named Raphtalia. Naofumi is hesitant at first, but eventually decides to buy her as a companion and assistant.

After buying Raphtalia, Naofumi begins to train her as his swordswoman. She is timid at first, but quickly begins to improve under Naofumi's guidance and becomes fiercely loyal to him. Naofumi also discovers that she is a demi-human, a race that is typically discriminated against in the kingdom.

Naofumi and Raphtalia set out on their journey and come across a town that has been overrun by monsters. They encounter a group of adventurers who are attempting to protect the town but are struggling to do so. Naofumi offers to lend his assistance and he and Raphtalia join forces with the adventurers.

As they work together to protect the town, Naofumi discovers that the adventurers are not as noble as they seem. They are only interested in defeating the monsters in order to collect the reward money. Naofumi also learns that the town's mayor has been withholding food and supplies from the people in order to profit from their suffering.

Naofumi confronts the mayor and the adventurers and is able to expose their deceit. He and Raphtalia distribute the food and supplies to the people of the town and restore order. Naofumi also shows mercy to the demi-human attacked by the adventurers.

Naofumi and Raphtalia continue on their journey, with Naofumi determined to become stronger and better equipped to face the upcoming wave. As they travel, they encounter a mysterious figure who seems to know more about the impending danger than anyone else.
