Ep 9. The Spiked Rifle

Lucas McCain is back in another action-packed episode of the classic western series, The Rifleman. In season 2, episode 9, titled The Spiked Rifle, Lucas finds himself caught in the middle of a dangerous game of revenge.

When Lucas's friend George Hicks is killed by a wild animal, Lucas offers to take on Hicks's job of transporting a load of rifles to the nearby town of Sheridan. However, when Lucas and his son Mark arrive in Sheridan, they discover that the rifles have been sabotaged: each one has a sharp spike hidden inside the barrel, making them nearly impossible to use.

As Lucas tries to track down the person responsible for the sabotage, he begins to suspect that it might be someone trying to get revenge on the town of Sheridan. It turns out that the rifles were meant to be used in a feud between two rival families, and now the person behind the sabotage is using the spiked rifles to ensure that neither side wins.

As the tension rises and the feud threatens to spill over into violence, Lucas must use all of his skills as a sharpshooter to protect the innocent and bring the culprit to justice. With the help of his trusty Winchester rifle, Lucas sets out to put an end to the sabotage and prevent any further bloodshed.

Along the way, Lucas encounters a cast of colorful characters, including a tough-as-nails saloon owner, a crafty sheriff, and a group of bandits who will stop at nothing to get their hands on the spiked rifles. With its thrilling action scenes, complex characters, and intricate plot, The Rifleman season 2, episode 9 is sure to keep fans of classic westerns on the edge of their seats.
