The Rifleman is a western television series that aired in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The show follows Lucas McCain (Chuck Connors), a widowed rancher who is also a skilled marksman with a rifle. The first season of The Rifleman consists of 40 episodes, and episode 12 is titled "The Angry Gun."
In this episode, Lucas agrees to help a man named Billy Mathis (John Anderson) get his land back from a powerful rancher named Ben Judson (Roy Roberts). Judson has been using underhanded tactics to force Mathis off his land, and Lucas sees it as a matter of principle to help out a fellow farmer in need.
At the same time, Lucas is also dealing with his young son Mark (Johnny Crawford), who is going through some growing pains. Mark wants to prove that he's old enough to take on more responsibility, but Lucas is hesitant to let him take on too much too soon.
As Lucas and Billy attempt to confront Judson and his men, they run into some unexpected complications. Judson's daughter Joyce (Doris Singleton) becomes smitten with Billy, complicating matters for everyone involved. Meanwhile, Mark gets himself into trouble when he tries to prove his worth by taking on some older boys in a game of "chicken."
Throughout the episode, tension mounts as Lucas and Billy try to take back what's rightfully theirs and Mark tries to prove his mettle. Will they be successful, or will their efforts backfire? Viewers will have to tune in to find out in this exciting episode of The Rifleman.
