Late Night with Todd and Riley is the second episode of the second season of the animated television show, The Replacements. In this episode, rambunctious siblings Todd and Riley find themselves thrust into the world of late-night talk shows when they are chosen as the guest hosts of a popular program.

The episode begins with Todd and Riley engaging in their usual mischievous antics, much to the chagrin of their overworked parents. However, their lives take an unexpected turn when they receive a call from Conrad Fleem, the eccentric billionaire and founder of the FleemCo company. Conrad, who has become their guardian and provider of various gadgets and replacements thanks to "the FleemCo system", offers them a chance to host the world-famous late-night talk show, "Late Night with Todd and Riley."

Excited about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Todd and Riley accept the offer and quickly find themselves at the doorstep of the TV studio. As the duo enters the bustling backstage, they are introduced to a team of producers and writers who will help them prepare for the show. Among these professionals is Conrad's loyal employee, Agent K, who offers guidance and technical assistance to the siblings.

Throughout their preparations, Todd and Riley encounter numerous challenges and unexpected hurdles. They must learn the art of interviewing and composing opening monologues while also dealing with quirky celebrity guests and a demanding executive producer named Janet Smythe. Janet is initially skeptical about Todd and Riley's abilities but agrees to give them a chance due to Conrad's insistence.

With their nerves on edge, Todd and Riley enter the spotlight as their first show begins. The duo showcases their unique style of humor and spontaneity, entertaining the live studio audience as well as viewers at home. However, as the episode progresses, the siblings learn that hosting a late-night talk show is not as easy as it seems.

As they interview their first guest, a famous actor known for his daredevil stunts, Todd and Riley accidentally cause chaos on the set. Cameras topple, props fly, and chaos ensues, leaving the studio in disarray. Amidst the mayhem, the siblings must quickly think on their feet and find a way to salvage the show.

Despite the mishaps, Todd and Riley's infectious enthusiasm wins the hearts of the viewers, and the show continues. Over time, the siblings gain confidence in their abilities and develop a unique on-screen chemistry that captivates the audience. They navigate the unpredictable world of live television, interviewing various celebrities, showcasing hilarious sketches, and engaging in witty banter.

However, tensions rise when Janet Smythe announces that the show's ratings need to improve or else it will be canceled. Determined to save their newfound careers, Todd and Riley brainstorm innovative ideas to boost the show's popularity. They create amusing and outrageous segments, invite popular guest stars, and even invite their family and friends to participate in the show.

As the episode reaches its climax, Todd and Riley face their biggest challenge yet: a high-stakes celebrity interview with a notoriously difficult actor. Will they be able to handle the pressure and deliver a successful episode that secures the future of "Late Night with Todd and Riley"?
