The Ren & Stimpy Show season 2 episode 8 is made up of two distinct segments - Monkey See, Monkey Don't and Fake Dad.
In Monkey See, Monkey Don't, Ren and Stimpy are on a safari in the jungle when they encounter a tribe of intelligent monkeys who are able to mimic their every move. Ren becomes obsessed with proving that he is smarter and more evolved than the monkeys, while Stimpy grows enamored with their playful antics. The competition between Ren and the monkeys escalates as Ren tries to outsmart them, but soon he finds himself in over his head as the monkeys start to mess with him. Meanwhile, Stimpy is having the time of his life playing with his new monkey friends.
In Fake Dad, Ren and Stimpy are traveling together on a train when they come across a young boy who mistakenly believes Ren to be his father. Ren initially tries to set the boy straight, but quickly realizes the benefits of acting as a fake dad - namely, being able to take advantage of the perks reserved for parents, like getting discounts and freebies. Stimpy gets in on the act as well, but things quickly spiral out of control as they try to keep up the ruse.
Both segments feature the outlandish humor and absurd situations that The Ren & Stimpy Show is known for, as well as the dynamic between the hyper-aggressive Ren and the goofy-but-lovable Stimpy. Monkey See, Monkey Don't has a particularly fun premise with the smart monkeys and Ren's overconfidence, while Fake Dad offers a chance to see the duo in a new context as they navigate the expectations of parenthood. Fans of the show will undoubtedly enjoy these wacky adventures.
