Jarod is a Pretender - a man with the unique ability to become anyone he desires. He has spent his entire life as a prisoner of a secret organization known only as The Centre and has recently escaped. The first episode of season 2 begins with Jarod waking up in a body bag in a New York City alleyway, having narrowly escaped being buried alive. Although he is relieved to be alive, he is confused and disoriented, unsure of how much time has passed since his last memory.
As Jarod tries to piece together what has happened to him, he learns that his old friend, Kyle, has been sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit. Jarod is convinced that The Centre is behind Kyle's wrongful conviction and sets out to prove his innocence. In the process, Jarod discovers that he is not the only one who has been targeted by The Centre - many of his fellow Pretenders have also been captured, brainwashed, and forced to work for the organization.
Meanwhile, Miss Parker, a former colleague of Jarod, is dealing with her own personal demons. She is haunted by memories of her mother's death and struggles to come to terms with her own part in The Centre's dark history. In an effort to regain control of her life, Miss Parker sets out to catch Jarod and bring him back to The Centre, hoping that it will bring her some sense of closure.
As the season progresses, tensions rise between Jarod and Miss Parker, and they are forced to confront their complicated past and uneasy relationship. While Jarod fights to bring justice to those who have suffered at The Centre's hands, Miss Parker struggles to reconcile her own past with her current actions.
Overall, Back From The Dead Again is a thrilling and emotionally charged episode that sets the stage for an intense and gripping second season of The Pretender. With complex characters, twisty plotlines, and plenty of action and suspense, this beloved show is sure to captivate audiences as the story of Jarod and his quest for freedom and justice unfolds.
