The PJs season 2 episode 3 "The Preacher's Life" is a hilarious episode that follows the daily life of Thurgood Stubbs, the superintendent of an inner-city housing project. He enlists the help of his trusty assistant, Muriel, and the two set out to fix the roof. However, things quickly go awry when Thurgood falls off the roof and injures himself. He ends up in the hospital, leaving Muriel to finish the job alone.
Meanwhile, the Reverend has his own troubles to deal with when he receives a visit from his old rival, Bishop Luther McKay. The two men engage in a heated competition to see who can raise the most money for their respective churches, with the Reverend using every trick in the book to come out on top. But when Bishop McKay offers to donate a large sum of money to the church in exchange for the Reverend's prized possession, a gold watch that was given to him by Martin Luther King Jr., the Reverend is faced with a difficult decision.
As all of this is happening, Thurgood begins to question his own faith and starts contemplating his mortality. He begins to fear that he may not have lived his life to the fullest and seeks guidance from the Reverend. The Reverend, sensing Thurgood's vulnerability, takes advantage of the situation and tries to get him to make a large donation to the church.
The episode is full of hilarious moments and tackles some serious issues as well. It explores themes of faith, friendship, and the importance of community. The PJs season 2 episode 3 "The Preacher's Life" is a must-watch for fans of the show, and it is sure to leave viewers laughing and thinking long after the credits have rolled.
