Synopsis:

In the Oval season 1 episode 5, President Hunter Franklin is reeling from the news that his son has been kidnapped. While he tries to figure out how to handle the situation, the First Lady, Victoria, takes charge and makes some tough decisions. She insists that the Secret Service protect their daughter, who is still living in the White House, and she also wants to reach out to an old friend for help.

Meanwhile, the White House staff is dealing with their own issues. Barry's ex-girlfriend comes back into his life and causes problems, while Richard realizes that he's in over his head with the new job. Kyle tries to get back into Sarah's good graces after their fight, and Sam has a heart-to-heart with her father about their strained relationship.

As the tensions rise, everyone is forced to pick sides and decide who they can trust. The stakes are higher than ever, and only time will tell who will come out on top.
