In The Office season 5 episode 2 titled "Business Ethics," the employees of Dunder Mifflin find themselves grappling with questions of right and wrong in the workplace. When Holly, the new HR representative, announces a mandatory business ethics seminar, Michael is excited to volunteer to lead the discussions. However, he quickly realizes that he doesn't quite understand the material himself.
Meanwhile, Dwight becomes convinced that a co-worker is stealing from the company and takes it upon himself to investigate. As he becomes more and more paranoid, his behavior becomes increasingly erratic and disturbing.
As the seminar progresses, it becomes apparent that the staff of Dunder Mifflin have vastly different opinions on what constitutes ethical behavior. Jim, Pam, and Karen find themselves at the center of a heated debate over the appropriateness of office romances, while Toby struggles to keep the discussion on track.
Throughout the episode, the characters are forced to confront their own biases and shortcomings as they attempt to navigate tricky ethical waters. The result is a thought-provoking and often hilarious look at the complexities of doing business in the modern world.
