Ep 17. The Lionfish

In this episode of The Octonauts, entitled "The Lionfish," the team embarks on a mission to help a school of fish who are being threatened by an invasive species. Peso uses his medical expertise to carefully remove the dangerous spines before releasing the lionfish back into the ocean.

It turns out that the lionfish had already laid eggs, and the baby lionfish are now posing a threat to the other fish in the area. The Octonauts realize that they must take further action to prevent the lionfish from causing any more damage.

They come up with a new plan to use a natural predator of the lionfish, the scorpionfish, to help control the population. The team sets out to catch a scorpionfish, and after a daring mission, they are successful. They introduce the scorpionfish to the area and soon see a significant decrease in the lionfish population.

Throughout the episode, the Octonauts emphasize the importance of maintaining a healthy balance in the ecosystem and preventing the introduction of invasive species. They work together to protect the other marine life in the area from harm, and ultimately succeed in their mission.
