Ep 20. Things That Go Piglet In The Night
- December 17, 1988
Woozles and heffalumps aren't the only things that can give Piglet a good scare. One night, Piglet wakes up to a loud noise outside his window. Certain it's something spooky, he runs to Pooh's house and wakes him up for protection. Pooh's solution to the problem is honey, which he believes will make Piglet feel better.
The next night, the loud noise returns, along with a mysterious scratching sound. Piglet is once again frightened and seeks refuge with Pooh. Pooh suggests that they investigate the noise together. They put on their bravest faces, grab a flashlight and set out to solve the mystery.
They encounter a variety of spooky creatures on their journey, including a shy cricket, a jittery rabbit, and a hissing snake. They even climb up to the top of Gopher's hill to see if the noise is coming from a badger or a mole. But they still can't figure out what's causing the noise.
As they walk back to Pooh's house, Piglet realizes that the noise is coming from his own house. They approach cautiously, ready for anything. Piglet opens the door, and they find a guilty-looking Tigger inside, munching on Piglet's leftover snacks. Piglet is relieved that the mystery is solved, and everyone has a good laugh at the situation.
The next morning, Piglet is still a little shaken from the experience. He tells Pooh that he's glad that he wasn't alone and that he feels much braver with his friends nearby.
The episode ends with Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, and Gopher having a spirited picnic and laughing about their nighttime adventure. Piglet is happy to have his friends around to share his fears with and is already looking forward to more adventures with them in the future.
Overall, "Things That Go Piglet In The Night" is a fun and heartwarming episode that showcases the importance of having good friends and facing your fears together.
