Watch The Nativity

Joseph and Mary arrive in Bethlehem but they're not welcome because Joseph's family have heard about Mary's apparent betrayal. They end up wandering the streets of Bethlehem with no where to stay. After Mary goes into labour, Joseph finds a stable for Mary to give birth in. Thomas and the other shepherds are visited by the Angel Gabriel and learn that the Messiah has been born and they make their way to the stable. Balthasar, Melchior and Gaspar show up in disguise to Bethlehem so that they can be present at Jesus's birth.

Joseph still finds it impossible to Mary's explanation for her pregnancy. With everyone turning against her she is danger of been stoned. Joachim ends up begging Joseph to take her to safety in Bethlehem. Thomas seeks answers for the plight he is in and learns about the coming of the Messiah, but he takes no comfort in the words.

The Angel Gabriel visits Mary and she finds out she will have the son of God. Mary finds herself unable to tell Joseph about her dream and she ends up traveling to see her cousin Elizabeth who is also pregnant. The soldiers refuse to listen to Thomas' pleas to have more time to pay the taxes that he owes and sheep from his flock are taken as payment. The three Kings ends up heading west towards Judaea.

Living in Nazareth with her parents Mary counts her blessings. Her parents Joachim and Anna, arrange for her to marry a local carpenter, Joseph. Thomas a shepherd living in Bethlehem finds it hard to to pay his taxes while his wife, Leah, is ill, following by the birth of their baby. Three kings in the East called Magi, Balthasar, Melchior and Gaspar, come together to talk about the signs in the heavens.
