The Nanny is an American sitcom that aired on CBS from 1993 to 1999. It follows the life of Fran Fine, a fashion-savvy Jewish woman from Queens who becomes the nanny for a wealthy British widower and his three children. In season 5, episode 19 titled "Immaculate Concepcion," Fran's cousin is about to give birth, and Fran is nervous about being in the delivery room. Meanwhile, Mr. Sheffield is preparing to direct his first play, but things don't go as planned.

The episode begins with Fran getting ready to go to the hospital with her cousin, Concepcion, who is about to give birth. Fran is nervous about being in the delivery room and asks her mother for advice. Her mother tells her to focus on the miracle of life and not the messiness of childbirth.

At the hospital, Concepcion starts to go into labor, and Fran tries to coach her through it. However, Concepcion's husband, Danny, is a nervous wreck and keeps getting in the way. Fran tries to reassure him that everything will be fine, but he is too worried to listen.

Meanwhile, Mr. Sheffield is preparing to direct his first play, a musical version of Romeo and Juliet. However, his lead actor, the town's butcher, is terrible, and Mr. Sheffield has to find a replacement quickly. He turns to Niles, his butler, who has a hidden talent for singing. Niles is hesitant at first, but Mr. Sheffield convinces him to audition for the part.

Back at the hospital, Fran's family is getting on her nerves, and she tries to get them to leave the room. However, she accidentally locks them all out, and they have to wait in the hallway. Fran is left alone with Concepcion and Danny, and she realizes that she is the only one who can help deliver the baby.

Fran has a moment of panic but then remembers her mother's advice and focuses on the miracle of life. She coaches Concepcion through the delivery, and Dan is amazed by her strength and bravery. When the baby is finally born, everyone in the room is emotional, and Fran is overjoyed to have played a part in bringing new life into the world.

Meanwhile, Niles auditions for the lead role in Mr. Sheffield's play and blows everyone away with his performance. Mr. Sheffield is thrilled to have found a replacement actor and congratulates Niles on his talent.
