Ep 7. A Star is Unborn

In "The Nanny" season 2 episode 7 titled "A Star is Unborn," Fran and Max take Grace to the doctor to get her tonsils removed. Despite being nervous about the surgery, Grace ends up having a great time and even enjoys the ice cream that Fran brings her as a treat afterwards.

Meanwhile, Fran is excited to attend her high school reunion and show off her success as Maxwell Sheffield's nanny. However, when she realizes that her old crush, Frankie Spadaro, will also be attending, she becomes self-conscious about her status as a nanny and worries that he will think less of her.

Fran decides to impress Frankie by pretending to be a Hollywood agent and convincing him that he should pursue a career in show business. She even arranges for him to audition for a Broadway musical, but things don't go according to plan.

Elsewhere, Maxwell is having trouble finding a star for his new musical and decides to hold auditions at the Sheffield mansion. Fran tries to convince him to give Frankie a chance, but Maxwell remains skeptical. That is, until he hears Frankie sing and realizes that he may have the star he's been searching for all along.

As the episode unfolds, Fran's lie begins to spiral out of control and she struggles to keep up the charade. Can she come clean to Frankie and salvage her relationship with him?
