In The Mysterious Cities of Gold season 1 episode 26, titled "The Swamps," the children find themselves on a boat traveling through a swampy marsh. As they navigate the dangerous waters and evade crocodiles, they come across a mysterious island that seems to be inhabited by living statues.
The group is shocked to find that the inhabitants of the island are not living beings at all, but rather robots created by the Olmecs. The children learn that the Olmecs created the robots to protect their treasure, and now that they have found it, they must figure out how to safely escape the island and return the treasure to the Olmecs.
As they explore the island, the children discover that the robots are not as powerful as they first appeared. They are able to outsmart the robots by using their intelligence and quick thinking. They find themselves in a race against time as they try to escape the island before the robots catch them.
But, as they try to escape, the children also face another danger – a giant octopus that lives in the swamp. To make matters worse, the octopus is attracted to the treasure they have found. The group must come up with a plan to defeat the octopus and escape the island with the treasure.
Throughout the episode, the children learn valuable lessons about bravery, teamwork, and respect for nature. They come to understand the importance of protecting the environment and showing kindness to all living creatures.
As the episode ends, the children successfully escape the island with the treasure, and return it to the Olmecs. They bid farewell to their new robot friends and continue on their journey, eager to see what other adventures await them.
