Ep 1. Esteban, Child of the Sun

In the first episode of The Mysterious Cities Of Gold, we are introduced to Esteban, a young boy who was found floating on the sea by the ship's crew of the San Francisco. It is said that he has been chosen by the sun god, and so he is called "Child of the Sun." He was taken aboard the San Francisco and raised by Captain Gomez and the crew.

Esteban grew up curious about his origins and would often sneak around the ship at night. One night, while he was exploring the ship, he overheard the captain, the navigator Mendoza, and the chief engineer Gaspard talking about a mysterious city of gold called "El Dorado." Esteban was fascinated by the idea of the fabled city and was determined to find it.

The San Francisco sailed from Spain to the New World, and while on their journey, they discovered a map that showed the way to the city of gold. However, Mendoza, who had been sent by Spain to find the city, was determined to keep it a secret and had hidden the map.

One day, Esteban accidentally stumbled upon the map, and Mendoza, realizing Esteban had seen it, decided to take him under his wing and train him to become a navigator. Mendoza was hoping that Esteban would lead him to the city of gold.

While all of this was happening, a girl named Zia was kidnapped by the Inca. The Inca were interested in Zia because of a mark on her shoulder that resembled a map. The map was actually a key that would lead to the city of gold. The Inca believed that if they found the city of gold, they could use it to defeat the Spanish and take control of the New World.

Esteban, Mendoza, and Captain Gomez heard about Zia's kidnapping and decided to rescue her. They sailed to the Inca's island and managed to free Zia. The three were happy to have saved Zia, but little did they know that their mission had also put them on a path to finding the city of gold.

With the map in his possession and Zia as a key to decipher it, Esteban is determined to find his origins and the fabled city of gold. But their journey will not be easy. They will face difficult challenges and meet new allies along the way.

The first episode sets up the main characters and the plot of the show. It also introduces us to the mystical elements of the show, such as the belief that Esteban is the Child of the Sun. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, with the crew of the San Francisco setting sail to find the fabled city of gold.
