Ep 20. That's Not Snowflake!
- June 3, 2022
In the latest episode of The Misery Index season 3, titled "That's Not Snowflake!", host Jameela Jamil is back with another hilarious line-up of crazy challenges. This time, the contestants are faced with a series of bizarre situations that test their limits of misery and discomfort, all in the name of winning a cash prize.
The first challenge in this episode is called "Not a Chance." In this round, contestants are shown a video of a bizarre situation and asked to guess the percentage of people who would choose to participate in it for a chance to win $10,000. Some of the situations are pretty wild, from a game called "human bumper cars" to eating a jar of expired mayo. As always, it's up to the contestants to figure out just how miserable their fellow humans are willing to get for some cash.
The next game, "Get Your Float On," takes a more physical approach. Contestants are given different inflatables to balance on, from a flamingo to a giant pizza slice. Then, they have to answer trivia questions while trying to stay on their float. If they get a question wrong, they're sprayed with water and have to try to recover their balance. As you can imagine, this game is both hilarious and full of misery.
Next up is "The Misery Chain," a game where contestants take turns linking different misery-inducing scenarios together. For example, one player might say, "You're stuck in a porta-potty at a music festival," and the next player has to come up with something even worse, like "And the person next to you is blasting death metal on their phone." This game is not for the faint of heart and definitely requires some creativity.
In "Pay the Price," contestants are given a choice: answer a difficult trivia question correctly and win a cash prize, or get blasted with something unpleasant. In this episode, the unpleasantness ranges from fish to whipped cream to a giant bucket of snow. It's a tough call, but some of the contestants are willing to take the risk for a shot at the cash.
Finally, in "Sink or Swim," the contestants have to guess whether a given situation would make a person want to "sink" (give up) or "swim" (keep going). For example, one scenario involves being stuck in a room with 200 mosquitoes. Another involves having to walk across a room covered in Legos. The contestants have to decide whether they would give up or keep going in each situation, and then try to guess what most people would do.
Overall, "That's Not Snowflake!" is a hilarious and slightly terrifying episode of The Misery Index, full of outrageous challenges and awkward situations. The contestants do their best to stay cheerful through all the misery, but it's clear that some of these scenarios are pushing them to their limits. Whether you're a fan of trivia, physical challenges, or just watching people suffer, this episode is sure to have something to delight and horrify you in equal measure.
