In episode 1 of The Misery Index season 3, titled "Eat My Pants!", the game show continues with its trademark mix of humor and misery. Host Jameela Jamil welcomes returning contestants from previous seasons, eager to win the grand prize of $30,000 by ranking miserable scenarios on the Misery Index. Joining the contestants are comedic stars James Murray, Joe Gatto, Brian Quinn, Sal Vulcano, and Jaden Smith, who bring their wit and humor to the show.
The first round features a series of topics, including an embarrassing mom moment, a botched proposal, and a snake in a toilet bowl. The contestants must decide how miserable each scenario is by ranking them on the Misery Index from 1 to 100. The higher the rank, the more miserable the scenario is deemed to be. After each round, the contestant with the lowest score is eliminated.
In the second round, the remaining contestants go head-to-head in a round of "What's The Worst That Could Happen?" In this round, the players are presented with a hypothetical scenario and must guess the ranking on the Misery Index for that situation. For example, if you were stuck in an elevator with a clown, how miserable would that be? Once again, the lowest-ranking player is eliminated.
The final round brings together the two highest-scoring contestants to compete for the grand prize of $30,000. In this round, they must rank a series of miserable scenarios while strapped to a spinning torture device. The device adds an element of physical discomfort to the contestants, making it especially difficult to focus and concentrate on their rankings. The winner of this round takes home the prize money and the title of ultimate Misery Index champion.
Throughout the episode, viewers will enjoy a mix of amusing commentary and outrageous scenarios. The contestants are not shy about sharing their opinions, and the celebrity guests add a fun and unexpected element to the game. With Jameela Jamil at the helm, "Eat My Pants!" is sure to be a hilarious episode of The Misery Index. Tune in to find out who will win the grand prize and who will be left feeling miserable.
