In The Misery Index season 2 episode 8, titled "I Used To Have Abs Once Too," the game show returns with another round of hilariously cringe-worthy scenarios. Contestants will once again have to guess the misery index rating of various situations that are depicted on screen. The game is played by two teams, each consisting of two contestants.
During each round, one team will be shown a particular situation, which could range from the uncomfortable to outright painful. They then have to rate how miserable this situation would be on a scale of 1 to 100, with 100 being the worst possible outcome. The other team then has to guess whether the first team overestimated or underestimated the misery index rating. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
This episode features an assortment of cringe-worthy moments, such as a man getting his tongue stuck in a mousetrap, a woman getting her hair caught in a blender, and a man being attacked by a swarm of bees. As always, the situations are accompanied by humorous commentary from host Jameela Jamil and the game's resident comedic duo, The Tenderloins.
In addition to the main game, this episode also features a special challenge round. In this round, contestants must guess which member of The Tenderloins personally experienced a particular misery index situation. The scenarios in this round range from the uncomfortable to the outright embarrassing and reveal some interesting tidbits about the lives of these beloved comedians.
One of the standout moments of this episode comes when James "Murr" Murray, one of the members of The Tenderloins, is shown a picture of himself from his college days when he had a much more toned physique. The contestants are then asked to guess how much weight he has gained since that photo was taken. This leads to a hilarious discussion about body image and fitness, with Murr openly admitting that he has "let himself go" since his youth.
Overall, "I Used To Have Abs Once Too" is a laugh riot of an episode that is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Whether you are a die-hard fan of The Misery Index or a newcomer to the show, there is something in this episode for everyone. So gather your friends and family and get ready to rate some misery!
