Ep 6. The Safe

Frankie's job at the car dealership is in danger when the owner Mr. Ehlert parks his own car in her spot and sells a car to an important customer without consulting her. Meanwhile, Mike tries to teach Axl how to use the hand-me-down tool chest he received from his own father. The boys struggle to find common ground as Axl sees Mike's lessons as a way to make him more like his dad, but Mike just wants to bond with his son. Sue struggles with making friends in her first year at college, feeling like she does not fit in with a specific group. Back at home, Brick tries to find a safe place to keep his book, leading to a discussion about trust in the family. The episode shows the different ways each member of the Heck family deals with trust, responsibility, and communication.
