Ep 8. Jar She Blows / Behind the Curtain

Flapjack is a young boy who lives in a whale called Bubbie. He has a best friend named Captain K'nuckles, who is a washed-up sailor with a love for candy. Together, they have many adventures in the wacky and bizarre world of Stormalong Harbor.

In episode 8 of season 2, titled "Jar She Blows / Behind the Curtain," Flapjack and Captain K'nuckles come across a mysterious jar while exploring the depths of Stormalong Harbor's underwater world.

The jar seems to be cursed, as anyone who looks into it becomes obsessed with finding out what's inside. Both Flapjack and Captain K'nuckles fall victim to the strange allure of the jar and spend the majority of the episode trying to open it. Their efforts to pry the lid off of the jar are comedically futile and ultimately lead to disastrous results.

Meanwhile, a traveling carnival comes to Stormalong Harbor, and Bubbie convinces Flapjack and Captain K'nuckles to go see the show. However, they quickly discover that the carnival's star attraction is actually a fake, and they set out to find the real "behind the curtain" show.

Their journey takes them through various carnival attractions, from a fortune-telling machine to a funhouse maze. Along the way, they encounter a slew of bizarre characters, including a bearded lady and a man with a rubber chicken for a head.

Once they finally make it to the real "behind the curtain" show, they are disappointed to find that it is just a man juggling fish. However, they are able to find joy in the simplicity of the act and enjoy watching the fish jump through hoops.
