Ep 5. Lucy and the Safe Cracker

Lucy and the Safe Cracker is the fifth episode of the second season of The Lucy Show. The episode originally aired on October 22, 1962.

In this episode, Lucy (played by Lucille Ball) is convinced that her bank has made a mistake and she has been charged for someone else's expenses. Lucy feels sorry for Eddie and offers him a job as a handyman in her apartment building.

Meanwhile, Lucy comes up with a plan to expose the real culprit behind the charges on her account. She decides to hire Eddie to crack the bank safe and find out who is responsible. Eddie agrees to do so, but he warns Lucy that it's a dangerous job and asks her to keep it a secret.

Lucy sneaks into the bank with Eddie and they manage to open the safe. However, they are caught by the detective who has been following Eddie. The detective assumes that they are trying to steal from the bank and calls the police. Lucy and Eddie try to explain their side of the story, but they are not believed.

In the end, Lucy and Eddie are taken to the police station where they are interrogated. However, soon after, Mr. Barnsdahl arrives at the police station and reveals that he was the one who had misspent Lucy's money by mistake. He apologizes to Lucy and Eddie and promises to set things straight.
