In the season 2 premiere of TNT's The Librarians, titled "And The Drowned Book," the team finds themselves on a mission to recover a lost book, which has the power to bring about the end of the world. The book is said to be located in a sunken city off the coast of Oregon, but the only way to reach it is through a magical portal that is guarded by a dangerous siren.
As the team works to decipher the clues that will lead them to the portal, they discover that they're not the only ones searching for the book. A group of treasure hunters, led by the charismatic Danny (played by guest star Matt Frewer), is also on the hunt, and they're willing to do whatever it takes to get their hands on the prized tome.
When the team finally makes it through the portal and into the sunken city, they discover that the book has been stolen by a group of underwater creatures known as the Merriwether. In order to retrieve the book and stop the Merriwether from using its power to destroy the world, the team must team up with Danny and his crew and navigate the treacherous waters of the sunken city.
As they journey deeper into the city, the team begins to unravel the mystery behind the book and the supernatural forces that are protecting it. With each twist and turn, they must face new challenges and overcome greater obstacles in order to save the world from certain doom.
