Ep 2. Episode 2

On episode 2 of The Legend of the Blue Sea, we continue where we left off from the previous episode. When Joon-jae, the main character, was a child, he met a woman who saved him from drowning. He then grew up listening to stories of a mermaid from his mother who had died when he was young. It turns out that the mermaid and the woman who saved him are the same person.

In this episode, Joon-jae starts to realize that the woman he has been meeting, Shim Cheong, is not an ordinary woman. He starts to notice her strange behaviors, including her inability to understand simple human tasks and her fascination with water. However, he is still skeptical about her claims of being a mermaid.

Meanwhile, Shim Cheong's mission remains the same as the previous episode: to find the man who promised to protect her family and take her to the sea. She believes that Joon-jae's father is the one who made that promise and wants to find him. She asks Joon-jae to help her find him, but he initially refuses.

Joon-jae is approached by Jo Nam-doo, who is his business partner in his scamming business. Jo Nam-doo has found a new target to scam, and Joon-jae agrees to participate. They plan to scam a rich woman by making Joon-jae pose as a painter and have him sell a fake painting to her. However, things don't go as smoothly as planned, and they end up getting caught.

Shim Cheong, who had been following Joon-jae, comes to his rescue by pretending to be a rich woman who is interested in buying the painting. She convinces the rich woman to buy the fake painting and saves Joon-jae and Jo Nam-doo from getting caught. Joon-jae is impressed by Shim Cheong's skills and decides to help her find her father.

In the latter part of the episode, we see flashbacks of Shim Cheong's past. We learn that she is from a long line of mermaids who had been hunted and killed by humans. Her father was the last surviving mermaid, and he promised Shim Cheong that he would take her to the sea. However, he was caught and killed before he could fulfill his promise.

Shim Cheong is now left alone in the world, with nothing but the hope of finding someone who can help her fulfill her father's promise. She believes that Joon-jae's father is the one who promised to help her family and is determined to find him.

Overall, episode 2 of The Legend of the Blue Sea is a continuation of the previous episode. It introduces us to more characters and develops the plot further. We see Joon-jae beginning to realize that Shim Cheong is not an ordinary woman and Shim Cheong continuing her search for the man who promised to help her family. The episode ends with Joon-jae agreeing to help Shim Cheong find her father.
