Ep 2. The Law of Battle Start

He has the ability to control fire and uses it to create a barrier around himself. Ueki responds by turning the trash on the ground into water and putting out Kilnorton's flames.

Kilnorton refuses to give up his talent without a fight. He unleashes a massive fire attack that engulfs the entire area. Ueki uses his power to turn the trash into trees once again to protect himself. The two continue to fight, but Ueki eventually gains the upper hand and takes Kilnorton's talent.

The episode ends with Ueki moving on to his next opponent, a young boy named Tenko who has the ability to fly. Ueki's mentor warns him that flying enemies can be dangerous, and that he should be careful. The episode closes with Ueki's first glimpse of Tenko as the battle between them is about to begin.
