Rob Corddry, an actor known for many comedic roles, joins host James Corden on the set of "The Late Late Show" for episode 2 of season 4. Corddry is no stranger to late night talk shows, having visited Corden's predecessor Craig Ferguson multiple times, so he's comfortable dishing out some laughs with Corden.
The conversation between Corddry and Corden is lively and upbeat, with both men bouncing jokes off each other like two pros. Corddry has plenty of stories to share, including one about a time he got into trouble while driving in Canada. As always, Corden is quick with the quips, and the two have no trouble keeping the audience entertained.
After Corddry leaves the stage, the energy picks up even more as the legendary Paula Abdul takes over as guest. Abdul is perhaps best known for her time as a judge on "American Idol", but her career has spanned decades and includes multiple hit songs and choreography for big name stars like Janet Jackson and Prince.
Abdul and Corden talk about everything from Abdul's early days as a cheerleader to the challenges she faced during her time on "American Idol". Abdul has plenty of stories to share, including one about the time she accidentally broke Simon Cowell's nose during a rehearsal. Corden is as energetic as ever, and it's clear that he and Abdul have a great rapport.
Of course, no talk show would be complete without a few games, and Corden is happy to oblige. He and Abdul play a round of "5 Second Rule", a popular game in which guests have to name three things in a certain category in just 5 seconds. Abdul is a good sport, and the two seem to be having a blast.
As always, the show is packed with other comedic bits and laughs. The opening monologue includes jokes about everything from the latest celebrity scandals to the everyday struggles of life. Corden's interactions with the audience are always a highlight, as he's known for bringing participants up on stage to participate in games and activities.
All in all, episode 2 of season 4 is an entertaining and lighthearted episode of "The Late Late Show". With a hilarious guest in Rob Corddry and a legendary performer in Paula Abdul, the show is sure to delight audiences who tune in to enjoy a bit of late night levity.
