4/18/19 - Andrew Garfield, Lake Bell, BLACKPINK
The Late Late Show with James Corden is back with a brand new episode, featuring Hollywood actor Andrew Garfield, actress and director Lake Bell, and K-pop group BLACKPINK. Host James Corden kicks off the show with his signature monologue, delivering his funny take on current events and pop culture news.
The first guest to join James on stage is Andrew Garfield, well-known for his roles in movies such as The Amazing Spider-Man, Hacksaw Ridge, and The Social Network. He talks about his latest project, a drama film called Under the Silver Lake, and shares his experience of working with director David Robert Mitchell. Andrew also shares some funny stories from his childhood, including a unique talent he had as a kid.
Next up is Lake Bell, an actress, writer, and director who is known for her roles in the TV series Boston Legal and How to Make It in America. She talks about her new comedy series, Bless This Mess, which she created and stars in alongside Dax Shepard. Lake shares some behind-the-scenes stories from the set, including some hilarious mishaps that happened during filming.
The musical guest for the night is BLACKPINK, a girl group from South Korea that has taken the world by storm with their catchy tunes and fierce style. The four members of the group - Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa - perform their hit song "Kill This Love," and also sit down with James for a fun interview. They talk about their success and popularity around the world, and share some interesting facts about their personal lives.
As always, James Corden takes his guests through a series of entertaining segments and games on the show. In "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts," James and Andrew Garfield take turns asking each other tough questions, with the option of either answering honestly or eating a disgusting food item. In "Tattoo Roulette," Lake Bell takes a chance at getting a permanent tattoo on her body, without knowing what the design will be.
The episode concludes with a fun and energetic performance by BLACKPINK, as they debut their new song "Don't Know What To Do." James Corden thanks his guests and the audience for tuning in, and promises more laughs and entertainment on the next episode of The Late Late Show.
