Shia LaBeouf, Cobie Smulders, and Rachel Bloom join James Corden on the 82nd episode of the second season of The Late Late Show. LaBeouf, known for his roles in Transformers and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, talks about his recent performance art project, #TakeMeAnywhere, where he and two artists hitchhiked across America. Smulders, who played Robin Scherbatsky on How I Met Your Mother, discusses her latest role as a detective in the ABC series Stumptown. Bloom, the creator and star of the critically acclaimed musical-comedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, talks about her upcoming book I Want To Be Where The Normal People Are.

The episode starts off with James Corden doing his opening monologue, where he talks about current events and makes witty jokes. He then introduces the first guest, Shia LaBeouf. LaBeouf arrives dressed in a blue suit and a black baseball cap, which he wears backwards. He talks about his recent art project, #TakeMeAnywhere, and how it was inspired by a similar project by his friend Nastja Säde Rönkkö. LaBeouf and the artists behind #TakeMeAnywhere set up a website where fans could pick them up and take them anywhere for a day. LaBeouf explains that the project was a way for him to connect with people and see America from a different perspective.

Next up is Cobie Smulders, who walks on stage wearing a stylish black suit. She talks about her role in Stumptown, where she plays a bisexual veteran who becomes a private investigator. Smulders explains that the show is action-packed and has a lot of heart. She also talks about how she did most of her own stunts on the show, despite her fear of heights and physical challenges. Smulders talks about how her character is flawed, which makes her more interesting to play on screen. She also reveals that she will be starting filming for the next season of Stumptown soon.

Finally, Rachel Bloom walks on stage wearing a blue dress and white boots. She talks about her new book, I Want To Be Where The Normal People Are, which is part memoir and part essay collection. Bloom describes the book as a way for her to explore what it means to be a misfit and an outsider. She talks about her struggles with mental health and how she used humor to cope. Bloom also talks about her experiences creating and starring in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, where she won a Golden Globe for best actress in a TV series musical or comedy.

Throughout the episode, James Corden engages in witty banter with his guests and plays games with them, such as "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts," where the guests are given the choice to either answer a personal question or eat a disgusting food item. The guests also participate in a musical segment of the show, where they perform popular songs with alternative lyrics.

In the end, James Corden bids farewell to his guests and thanks them for their time. He encourages the audience to watch their latest projects, whether it be LaBeouf's art, Smulders' acting, or Bloom's book. As the credits roll, the audience can't help but feel entertained and informed by the diverse group of guests and their engaging conversations with the host.
