Ep 4. Episode 4
In episode 4 of The King's Avatar, titled "Glory Auction," Ye Xiu and his team continue to prepare for their upcoming match against their rival team, Excellent Era. As they focus on training, they also must deal with other issues, such as a new member of their team who struggles to fit in and the team's financial difficulties.
Meanwhile, Tong Yi, the team's manager, receives an invitation to a prestigious auction for rare in-game items. She sees it as an opportunity to earn enough money to keep the team afloat and decides to attend the auction.
At the auction, Tong Yi meets with several other team managers and players, including Huang Shaotian, a player from Excellent Era who attempts to engage in some friendly trash talk with Tong Yi. Ye Xiu also attends the auction in disguise, hoping to keep an eye out for any useful items that his team could use.
As the auction goes on, Tong Yi finds herself bidding against a powerful guild leader, who is intent on acquiring a rare sword that could give his team an advantage in the upcoming championship. Despite Ye Xiu's warnings, Tong Yi refuses to back down and continues to bid on the sword.
However, things take a turn for the worst when the guild leader drops out of the bidding and a mysterious figure starts bidding against Tong Yi. She quickly realizes that she's being played by a wealthy player known as "The War God," who is interested in acquiring the sword to use it for his own purposes.
As tensions rise, Ye Xiu steps in and challenges The War God to a one-on-one battle for the sword. In a thrilling and intense battle, Ye Xiu showcases his skills as a former pro player and emerges victorious, earning the sword for his team.
With the auction over, Ye Xiu and Tong Yi return to their team, where they are greeted with mixed reactions. While some members are thrilled about the new addition to their arsenal, others are wary of the risks involved in using such a powerful weapon.
Despite the uncertainty, Ye Xiu remains confident in his team's abilities and encourages them to keep pushing forward in their training. The episode ends with a glimpse at the team's next opponent, signaling that there are more challenges to come for the Glory professional gaming scene.
