Ep 2. Episode 2
In episode 2 of The King's Avatar, titled "Playing Even Harder," we see Ye Xiu (played by Yang Yang) dealing with the aftermath of being expelled from Excellent Era, the professional eSports team he had been with for years. Ye Xiu's decision to resign from the team was not well-received by the team management, who saw it as a betrayal.
Meanwhile, Ye Xiu's former teammate, Su Mucheng (played by Maggie Jiang), has also left Excellent Era, unable to bear the pressure of the team's high standards. Su Mucheng seeks out Ye Xiu, hoping to team up with him and form a new eSports team. At first, Ye Xiu is hesitant, as he is not sure if he wants to continue playing the game professionally. However, after a friendly match with Su Mucheng, Ye Xiu is reminded of his love for the game and agrees to help her form a new team.
Ye Xiu and Su Mucheng begin recruiting new members for their team. They meet Chen Guo (played by Daisy Li), the owner of a small internet cafe, who is a huge fan of Ye Xiu. Chen Guo is initially starstruck by Ye Xiu, but quickly asserts herself and proves to be a capable businesswoman. She agrees to let Ye Xiu and Su Mucheng use her internet cafe for their team's headquarters, which they name "Happy Internet Cafe."
Ye Xiu and Su Mucheng also recruit Tang Rou (played by Lai Yu Meng), a skilled player who had previously declined an offer to join Excellent Era. Tang Rou is initially uninterested in joining a new team, but is convinced by Ye Xiu's passionate speech about the beauty of the game and the importance of teamwork.
With their team coming together, Ye Xiu and Su Mucheng begin preparing for their first official match. They face off against a team called "Tiny Herb," which is widely considered to be one of the strongest teams in the league. Ye Xiu and his team face some initial setbacks, but their teamwork and determination ultimately lead them to victory.
At the end of the episode, we see Ye Xiu receiving a call from Excellent Era's manager, who is angry at Ye Xiu for forming a new team and competing against them. It is clear that Ye Xiu's departure from Excellent Era has caused some tension and drama, and it remains to be seen how this will play out in future episodes.
