Carrie takes on a new role at work, causing Doug to feel emasculated. He tries to prove he's still the "alpha" in the relationship by throwing a BBQ for the guys, but things take a turn when he mistakenly serves up a veggie burger instead of a meat patty to his friend, Deacon.
Meanwhile, Arthur is determined to prove that he still has his own set of skills, and enlists Spence to help him fix a broken toy from his childhood. However, their attempts to repair the toy only lead to more trouble and frustration.
As the episode progresses, Carrie's new job begins to take a toll on her as well, and she realizes that she needs to find a balance between work and home life. She turns to her sister, Sara, for advice and support, but finds that Sara's idea of a "balanced" life isn't quite what she had in mind.
Throughout the episode, the characters grapple with their respective insecurities and try to navigate their changing roles and relationships. Though there are plenty of comedic moments, the episode also touches on deeper themes of identity, self-worth, and the challenges of balancing personal and professional aspirations.
