Jamie Foxx is back with another hilarious episode of his hit sitcom, The Jamie Foxx Show. In season 3 episode 13, titled "Scared(er) Than a Mug," Jamie and his friends are in for a spooky adventure.
As the episode begins, Jamie and his roommate Fancy are getting ready for Halloween. Jamie is excited for the holiday, but he's also a little nervous. He tells Fancy that he's been having nightmares about being chased by a giant mug, which is strange even for Jamie.
Meanwhile, Jamie's best friend Braxton drops by the apartment. Braxton is a bit of a boastful know-it-all, and he's eager to show off his latest accomplishment: he's written a horror movie script. Jamie and Fancy are skeptical, but Braxton insists that his script is scarier than anything they've ever seen.
As the trio discusses Braxton's script, they begin to hear strange noises coming from the apartment next door. They investigate, but find nothing amiss. However, the strange occurrences continue throughout the night, leading Jamie to believe that his nightmares may be coming true.
The next day, Jamie and Braxton decide to investigate the source of the disturbances. They trace the noises to the basement of the apartment building, where they discover a makeshift movie set. It turns out that their neighbor has been filming a horror movie, and the noises Jamie heard were just special effects.
Feeling relieved, Jamie and Braxton decide to watch the filming. However, things take a turn for the worse when a real-life thief breaks into the set and steals the expensive equipment. Jamie and Braxton bravely chase the thief down and retrieve the stolen goods, but not before a wild confrontation that leaves them all fighting for their lives.
In the end, Jamie and his friends realize that Halloween doesn't have to be scary to be fun. They decide to let Braxton's script scare them just a little, but they make a pact to never take horror movies too seriously again.
