Ep 13. Long Run Home

In this episode of The Incredible Hulk, entitled "Long Run Home," our green hero, David Banner, finds himself in trouble yet again as he tries to outrun his terrible transformation into the Hulk. With nowhere else to go, he sets off on foot across the countryside, hoping to put even more distance between himself and anyone who might be in danger if he were to lose control.

As David makes his way through the rolling hills and rugged forests of some unnamed region of the US, he encounters a series of obstacles that test his stamina and determination to keep going. He traverses steep hillsides, scrambles over fallen trees, and wades through ankle-deep streams, all the while trying to find some shred of hope that he can outrun the beast within.

Along the way, David also meets a number of people whose lives he touches in small but meaningful ways. Some are fellow travelers, others are locals who live and work in the area. All of them seem to sense something different about him, something that sets him apart from the rest of humanity. Some even seem to recognize him as the man who turns into the Hulk, but they say nothing, content to let him go about his solitary journey.

As the days stretch on and David begins to feel the physical and emotional toll of his long run, he begins to question his own sanity. Did he really turn into a giant, green monster? Or is this all just some terrible dream from which he cannot seem to awaken?

Despite his doubts, David continues on, driven by the need to keep moving, to keep outrunning the beast within. But when he stumbles upon a small town that is under attack by a rampaging gang of criminals, he is forced to confront a difficult truth: he may not be able to outrun his inner demon forever.

With a renewed sense of purpose, David sets out to defend the town from its attackers, using his considerable strength and agility to turn the tide of the battle in their favor. But even as he fights alongside the townspeople, he feels the familiar pressure building inside him, the telltale signs that he is about to transform into the Hulk once again.

Will David be able to keep control of his raging alter ego long enough to save the town? Or will he succumb to the dark forces within him, unleashing a wave of destruction that could devastate everything in its path?
