The Incredible Hulk Season 2 Episode 21, titled "The Confession," sees Dr. David Banner arrive in a small town where locals are convinced that a monster is responsible for the recent rash of disappearances. When Banner enters a church to pray for guidance, he accidentally overhears a confession from a man who admits to being responsible for the murders.
Realizing that the man's guilt will be exposed if he leaves the confessional, Banner chooses to stay and listen instead of leaving to notify the authorities. However, as he continues to listen, he begins to suspect that the man isn't telling the whole truth. Further investigation leads Banner to a shocking discovery: the "monster" actually exists, but it's not what the townspeople think it is.
Meanwhile, the man from the confessional decides to take matters into his own hands and hunt down the creature himself, putting both himself and Banner in danger. In an effort to prevent further violence, Banner must confront the man and reveal the truth about the true nature of the creature.
Throughout the episode, Banner struggles to control his own temper as he deals with the combined pressures of hiding his own strange abilities and protecting innocent lives. With the odds stacked against him, Banner must find a way to prevent tragedy and preserve his own hidden identity.
