Dr. David Banner, a brilliant scientist, has a tragic secret. Whenever he gets angry or stressed, he transforms into a giant, green-skinned creature known as the Hulk. In episode 7 of season 1, titled "Terror in Times Square," Banner finds himself in the heart of New York City, struggling to contain his anger and avoid drawing attention to himself.
The episode opens with a shot of Times Square, bustling with activity and neon lights. Banner is there too, trying to blend in with the crowds and avoid drawing too much attention to himself. However, he has a hard time keeping his emotions in check as he witnesses various acts of violence and aggression around him. Every time he feels himself getting angry or frustrated, he has to quickly find a way to calm down before he transforms into the Hulk.
Meanwhile, a group of terrorists are planning to blow up a busy hotel in the heart of Times Square. They have set up explosives in a nearby parking garage and plan to detonate them during a busy lunch hour, killing hundreds of innocent people. The police have received a warning but are struggling to locate the bomb before it's too late.
As the clock ticks down, Banner becomes more and more agitated. He can feel the rage building inside him, and he knows that if he lets it take over, he could inadvertently draw attention to himself and ruin his chances of helping to stop the terrorists. He tries everything he can think of to calm himself down - deep breathing exercises, meditation, even slipping away to a quiet corner of the city to be alone - but nothing seems to work. The closer the terrorists get to carrying out their plan, the more anxious Banner becomes.
Finally, he finds himself face to face with one of the terrorists, a young woman who is tasked with detonating the bomb. As they lock eyes, Banner feels himself losing control. He knows that if he transforms into the Hulk here, in the middle of Times Square, it could spell disaster for everyone involved. He tries to back away slowly, but the woman spots him and starts shouting for the other terrorists to grab him.
In a moment of desperation, Banner makes a split-second decision. He grabs the woman and takes off running, hoping to lead her away from the bomb and give the police enough time to defuse it. He runs through the crowded streets, dodging pedestrians and police officers alike, with the woman struggling to get free from his grasp.
Just as he reaches the outskirts of the city, Banner feels the familiar tingling in his skin that signals the onset of his transformation. He tries to fight it off, gritting his teeth and clenching his fists, but it's no use. In a burst of green light, the Hulk appears.
The Hulk is a force to be reckoned with - standing nearly eight feet tall and possessing incredible strength and durability. He charges through the streets, tossing cars and debris out of his way as he races towards the terrorists and the bomb. The police start firing at him, but their bullets bounce off his impenetrable skin like pebbles.
As the Hulk nears the terrorists' hideout, he spots the bomb and charges towards it. With a single, powerful punch, he destroys the bomb and sends the terrorists running for cover. The police move in, apprehending the suspects and securing the area.
With the threat neutralized, the Hulk reverts back to David Banner, who collapses onto the ground, exhausted from the ordeal. The police surround him, unsure of what to do with this strange, green-skinned man who just saved their city. But before they can take him away, Banner slips away into the crowd, disappearing into the chaos of Times Square once more.
As the episode draws to a close, Banner reflects on his close call and vows to find a way to control the Hulk's transformation once and for all. He knows that he can't keep running forever and that he needs to find a way to tame the beast within. But for now, he is content to disappear into the crowds of New York City, staying one step ahead of his pursuers and hoping that someday he will be able to find a way to live a normal life once more.
