David Banner (voice of Lou Ferrigno) is back, but his monstrous alter-ego The Hulk is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Dr. Betty Ross (voice of Genie Francis) informs her father General Ross (voice of John Vernon) that they've located Banner's lab and are on their way to investigate. In the lab, they find Bruce Banner's notes, but no sign of the scientist himself. However, as the team is leaving, they're attacked by a ferocious monster that appears to be none other than The Hulk.

Meanwhile, in a nearby town, a young boy named Ricky (voice of Jonathan Brandis) has befriended a large, gentle creature that he names "Joe". However, when the townsmen discover that Joe has been raiding their crops, they become convinced that he's a vicious beast and set out to kill him. Ricky begs for help from the only person he knows who might be able to save Joe - David Banner.

As General Ross closes in on the lab, David must try to control his own transformation into The Hulk so he can help Ricky save his friend. Along the way, he discovers that the creature attacking the military is not, in fact, The Hulk at all - but a new creation with all of The Hulk's strength and rage, and none of his conscience or intellect.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger, as the military and The Incredible Hulk face off against this new and deadly creature. Will they be able to stop it before it destroys everything in its path? Tune in to find out!
