Ep 1. Swine and Dandy

The Incredible Dr. Pol, a reality show based on the veterinary profession, is back with a bang with its 14th season. In this particular episode, Swine and Dandy, viewers are taken on a rollercoaster ride through the trials and tribulations of the veterinarian. The episode opens with Dr. Pol, a seasoned veterinarian, and his team of experts gearing up for a long day ahead.

On examination, the horse has several punctured wounds, and Dr. Pol has to make sure that the wounds do not become infected. In a tense operation, Dr. Pol endures some tense moments while examining and stitching up the horse’s wounds. He carefully cleans and disinfects the wounds to minimize the chances of further infections and gently comforts the horse while it recovers.

The next case that Dr. Pol and his team are confronted with is a dog that had swallowed a metal toy car. The dog had been brought in by its owners, who were understandably worried. Dr. Pol is quick to reassure the owners that he can extract the toy without any complications. The procedure goes smoothly, and the dog is relieved from its discomfort.

Later in the episode, Dr. Pol gets called to treat a type of chicken referred to as “the world’s smallest chicken," the Serama. The chicken is under a lot of distress and is at risk of dying. Dr. Pol jumps into action to find the root cause of the problem, painstakingly examining the chicken to identify the issues correctly. The treatment is a success, and the chicken is nursed back to health.

The highlight of the episode, however, is a cow that Dr. Pol is called upon to examine. The cow is pregnant but has developed some complications, and Dr. Pol is not sure if he will be able to save the calf, let alone the cow. He decides to perform a C-section on the cow, and the drama that unfolds in the following moments is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Dr. Pol and his team work together to ensure that the cow can survive the procedure, but the calf is too weak to make it.

The Incredible Dr. Pol is a heart-warming and wholesome show that will capture the hearts of pet lovers. Dr. Pol’s 50 years of experience as a veterinarian are evident in every episode, and viewers can learn a lot about how to care for their pets from the show.
