The Incredible Dr. Pol Season 13 Episode 2, Grub-a-Dub-Dub, follows Dr. Pol as he tends to his patients in rural Michigan. The episode begins with an emergency call about a cow that has gone into labor. Dr. Pol arrives at the farm to find that the cow is struggling to give birth and the calf is stuck. He quickly assesses the situation and decides to intervene, using his expertise to help deliver the calf safely.
Next, Dr. Pol checks in on a horse named Belle who has been experiencing lameness in her leg. After a thorough exam, Dr. Pol discovers that Belle has a serious bone infection and will require surgery. He sends her to a veterinary specialist for treatment, where she undergoes a successful operation and begins her road to recovery.
As Dr. Pol heads back to his clinic, he receives another call about an alpaca that has been refusing to eat. The alpaca's owners are concerned and have tried many different methods to try and get her to eat, but nothing seems to be working. Dr. Pol quickly diagnoses the problem as dental issues and performs a dental procedure on the alpaca, helping her return to good health.
Throughout the episode, Dr. Pol also tends to various other animals, including a goat with a hoof injury, a chicken with a respiratory infection, and a dog with an irritating skin condition. Each patient requires a different form of care, with Dr. Pol using his knowledge and experience to create customized treatment plans for each animal.
As the day comes to an end, Dr. Pol reflects on the challenges and rewards of being a veterinarian in rural Michigan. Despite the long hours and difficult cases, he remains passionate about his work, knowing that he is making a difference in the lives of both animals and humans.
