The Inbetweeners season 2 episode 6, titled "End of Term," sees the group of misfit friends - Will, Simon, Jay, and Neil - facing the end of another school term. As they prepare for the summer holidays, they each have their own plans on how to spend it.
Will is excited to go on a family holiday to Cornwall with his mother and her new boyfriend, while Simon plans to spend his summer pining over his crush, Carli, and working at the local leisure center. Jay, on the other hand, is determined to have as much sex as possible over the summer, while Neil has no plans at all, except maybe hanging out with his dad at the bowling alley.
As the end of term approaches, the group must navigate various school events, including a talent show and a prom night. Will is roped into performing a skit with his drama class, which goes predictably wrong, while Simon tries his best to impress Carli at the prom, with mixed results.
Meanwhile, Jay attempts to woo a girl he met at the talent show, but his crude and offensive comments land him in hot water. Neil unwittingly becomes embroiled in the drama when his dad turns out to be the school's janitor and accidentally locks the boys in the school overnight.
As tensions rise and tempers fray, the boys must confront their own insecurities and shortcomings, ultimately learning important lessons about friendship and growing up.
Overall, the episode is a hilarious and cringe-worthy look at the trials and tribulations of teenage life, with plenty of awkward moments and laugh-out-loud set pieces. Fans of the show will appreciate the familiar dynamics between the four main characters, as well as the stellar writing and comedic timing that make The Inbetweeners such a beloved classic.
