The Hype is a reality TV show on HBO Max that follows ten streetwear designers as they strive to become the next big name in the fashion industry. Hosted by streetwear icon and designer, Bobby Hundreds, the show features esteemed judges including fashion designer and creative director, Marni Senofonte, and rapper and fashion enthusiast, Offset.
The designers are split into two teams of five and given weekly design challenges, ranging from creating garments out of non-traditional materials to designing a full collection. Throughout the challenges, the teams receive guidance and critiques from the judges, who not only evaluate their designs but also their ability to market and sell their creations. The winning team receives immunity, while the losing team faces elimination, and one designer is sent home each week.
