Ep 1. Finding Reality

The Guest Book follows the lives of different guests who stay at a remote mountain cabin where they create their unforgettable vacation stories in each episode. In season two, episode one, titled Finding Reality, the story starts during a funeral service where a group of people gather to mourn the loss of Rose, who was a beloved member of the community. Vivian, the niece of Rose, unexpectedly arrives at the funeral and reveals that her aunt has left her the cabin in the mountains. Vivian's arrival brings out mixed emotions from Rose's friends as they had all been hoping to acquire the cabin for themselves, but they soon realize that they can still use the place for their vacation stories.

As the guests arrive, one couple is looking for a break from their mundane life where they feel disconnected from each other. They discover an old VHS tape containing memories from the cabin, including that of Rose's, which they use to ignite their passion for each other and find themselves closer than ever before. Another couple arrives at the cabin with their rebellious teenage daughter, who is more interested in her social media life than spending time with her parents. However, things take an unexpected turn when she discovers the distorted reality of her online world and the impact it has on her relationships in real life.

Meanwhile, a group of friends arrive at the cabin to celebrate their friend's bachelor party, but their plans are derailed when one of them loses his engagement ring in the woods. As they search for the ring, they come across a bear that has been lumbering around the area. The bear ends up leading them to a clearing where they find something unexpected, bringing them closer together and creating a memorable trip for the groom-to-be.
