Ep 3. Bread Week

In the third episode of The Great British Bake Off, it's Bread Week, and contestants are tasked with creating a variety of bread-based delights, including signature tea loaves, a fun-filled technical challenge, and show-stopping floral bread sculptures.

The bakers must use their imaginations to create a unique flavour combination in their signature bake, creating different types of tea-infused loaves. They channel their creativity and innovation to incorporate different kinds of tea, such as Earl Grey and chai, into their baked goods. Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith are impressed by some contestants' experimentation but have harsh critiques for others.

The technical challenge calls for the bakers to make a batch of English muffins, a task that proves more difficult than expected. Contestants struggle with getting the muffins to rise and achieving the perfect size, causing frustration and tension to mount in the tent. Judges Paul and Prue taste each of the muffins and rank them accordingly, leaving contestants feeling nervous about their performance.

Finally, it's time for the show-stopper challenge, where contestants must create stunning, edible bread sculptures that incorporate flowers in design. The bakers put their artistic skills to the test as they attempt to create intricate pieces that not only look beautiful but also taste delicious. During the judging, contestants receive constructive feedback on their sculptures, including praise for their creativity as well as critiques for their execution.

Throughout the episode, hosts Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding add their signature humor and wit while guiding the bakers through their challenges. The contestants navigate the intense and nerve-wracking competition, pushing themselves to their limits to create beautiful and delicious bread.
