Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jason return for the highly anticipated season 3 premiere of The Good Place. The episode, titled "Everything Is Bonzer!", picks up where the second season finale left off.
Eleanor finds herself back in the "real world" after Michael convinced the Judge to give her and her friends a second chance at life. However, things don't go quite as planned. Eleanor discovers that she has been given a different identity and is living in a completely different town than she remembers. She is also unable to find her friends, which leads her to believe that they may have been reincarnated as different people as well.
Desperate to find her friends and get back to the Good Place, Eleanor teams up with a new character named Trevor, who claims to be an expert at navigating the afterlife system. Together, they begin a journey to track down Chidi, Tahani, and Jason.
Meanwhile, Chidi wakes up in what appears to be a simulation. He is told by a man named Simone that he is part of a groundbreaking new study that aims to examine near-death experiences. As Chidi begins to explore this strange new world, he begins to question everything he thought he knew about himself and the afterlife.
Tahani, on the other hand, has been reincarnated as a small girl in Japan. Though she is initially confused and disoriented, she quickly adapts to her new life and throws herself into the culture. As she grows up, she becomes a successful and acclaimed sumo wrestler, but she can't shake the feeling that something is missing.
Finally, Jason wakes up in a completely different part of the afterlife. He is now a monk in a secluded monastery, devoted to his studies and living a life of simplicity. However, he can't help but feel homesick for his friends and the excitement of the Good Place.
Overall, "Everything Is Bonzer!" sets the stage for what promises to be an exciting and heartfelt third season of The Good Place. With the addition of new characters and settings, the show continues to push the boundaries of its premise and explore some of life's biggest questions. Fans of the show will not be disappointed.
